Privacy Policy

How Plentyful handles your information.

Effective date: April 23, 2026

Overview

Plentyful is built to help people track spending, scan receipts, review statements, and understand their money without the noise and pressure common in many finance apps. This Privacy Policy explains how Plentyful collects, uses, stores, and shares information through the Plentyful website, waitlist, and app.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Plentyful, we may collect:

  • Contact information such as your name and email address.
  • Your phone number if you choose to provide it for text updates.
  • Waitlist information you submit through the Plentyful website.
  • Account information used for sign-in and authentication.
  • Transaction, receipt, statement, and budgeting information you choose to add to the app.
  • Device, browser, and diagnostic information needed to operate and improve the service.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Plentyful.
  • Authenticate users and secure accounts.
  • Process waitlist signups and send product updates.
  • Send text updates only when you separately opt in to receive SMS marketing messages.
  • Support features like transaction tracking, voice logging, receipt scanning, and statement review.
  • Respond to support requests, questions, and feedback.
  • Monitor service performance, reliability, and abuse prevention.

SMS updates

Providing a phone number is optional. Plentyful will not send marketing text messages unless you separately opt in. If you opt in, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out.

Financial data and connected accounts

Plentyful may allow you to connect financial accounts through Plaid for transaction imports. When you use those connections, account access and credential handling are managed through Plaid's systems and authorization flow. Plentyful is designed to use read-only transaction access where applicable. Plentyful does not store your bank login credentials on its own servers.

Service providers

Plentyful uses third-party providers to operate the product, including services such as:

  • Supabase for authentication, database, and application infrastructure.
  • Brevo for transactional email and product communication.
  • Vercel and Netlify for application and website hosting.
  • Plaid for connected account and transaction import functionality.

These providers may process information on Plentyful's behalf to support the product, subject to their own terms and privacy commitments.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, operate the website and waitlist, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and how you use Plentyful.

Security

Plentyful uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to reduce risk through modern hosting, access controls, provider security features, and ongoing operational care.

Your choices

You may contact Plentyful to ask questions about your information, request updates, or request deletion where applicable.

Changes to this policy

Plentyful may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When that happens, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version on this page.
